I completely trust the expertise of the A.R.C. to continue to see through any smoke & mirrors which the org may again try to use as deceptive/lying measures.

Observations from an Ex-Elder Part 1
by doubtfull1799 ini was thinking about the fog model this morning, particularly about the "obligation" part.
my mind went back to the last elders school i went to.
one of the parts in the section on appointments was discussing how we should not place too high a bar (human standards) for brothers to try and jump over when we are considering them for appointment as a ministerial servant.

The org can't quantify good Christian deeds for their Yearbook statistics, so taking care of "widows & orphans" is totally irrelevant when compared to zombie-trolley "witnessing."

Lots Of Whining And Complaining About Us JW's
by Deaconblues1914 inin reading these posts, it sounds like a lot of you are very jealous of the wt.
society’s annual income and the money they/we have in the bank.
jehovah has indeed blessed us.

Hi Deaconblues. As a baptized J.W. of many years who's seriously studied the scriptures over the past 5 years, I'd like to hear your thoughts on just two of the numerous questionable doctrines of the WTBTS which I've found.
1) Why does the "faithful slave" say that the Catholic church's practice of voluntarily confessing to one priest is unscriptural, when Jehovah's Witnesses are compelled to confess their serious sins to three elders?
At Matthew 18:15-17 Jesus said nothing about elders being involved when someone commits a serious sin. The matter can/should be resolved between the two individuals alone, and no one else. Doing otherwise is going against Christ's words.
2) Why did the original "faithful slave" create the teaching in 1931 that Christians had to witness for Jehovah?
There is not one scripture to validate this teaching, but there are dozens of verses which tell Christians to witness for Christ?
Matt. 10:18; Mark 13:9; Acts 1:8; John 1:15; John 5:37; John 8:18 John 15:26,27; Acts 10:39 Acts 10:43; Acts 13:31; Acts 22:15; Acts 22:20 Acts 23:11; Acts 26:16 1 Cor. 1:6; 1 Tim. 2:6,7 2 Tim. 1:8; 1 John 5:9 Rev. 1:9; Rev. 12:17 Rev. 17:6; Rev. 19:10 Rev. 20:4.
If you can provide one single scripture which says that Christians are to witness for Jehovah, I will stand corrected.
If you cannot respond, I'll completely understand.

Welcome Confused. You've got a new life and a different path to walk now. Take it easy and begin to un-learn the org's falsehoods.
You have a P.M.
I wish you well as your eyes and mind open up to the org's controlling doctrines.

by bulldogg1877 ini grew up a jw kid until the age of twelve.

Welcome Bulldogg;
Before you commit to anything, take a few steps back and consider the 13 points I've sent you in a P.M.
Hopefully you will clearly see that the WTBTS does not reflect what the scriptures actually say.

June 2017 Watchtower - Jehovah's Sovereignty is at stake if you disagree with us
by Listener infour years ago the watchtower made the following demand.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.
they are not content with obedience and in the upcoming june watchtower they have this to say -15. how does respect for theocratic headship reveal our love for jehovah’s way of ruling?15 what is our response to divinely authorized headship?
-
The Searcher
June WT, page 30, par. 15 - "What is our response to divinely authorized headship?"
Who divinely authorized the WTBTS/7 charlatans in Warwick? The only divinely authorized head for Christians is the Christ!)
This self-promoting corporation-cum-religion exposes its corruption with every new piece of propaganda.

The sly tactics the elders are using to malign my name!
by stuckinarut2 ini have had it confirmed now, that since stopping attending over 18 months ago, the elders have set out to deliberately ruin my name and character .. they have been talking to every witness from the local area and saying things like "be careful of him, he has the ability to implant thoughts in your minds, and he only pretends to be kind and caring".
so, all i have to say to them is, "bravo!
if that is the method you want to employ, you have reached the very depths of bad behaviour!".

You should feel proud that the Little Napoleons consider you a threat to them.
Some J.W.'s may even realise that what the elders are saying actually reveals more about them than you!

Thanks for this post.
".........the Watchtower organization urges elders to maintain confidentiality, when they legally impale themselves by breaking confidentiality the moment they share a confession with other elders...... Watchtower attempted to claim clergy privilege to protect themselves, but this was denied multiple times by the court."
I'm totally bewildered at the U.S. judiciary's ineptitude to bury the WTBTS's "clergy-penitent" red-herring once and for all time!
Recent legal precedents (including this case) have proven J.W. elders do not keep J.C.'s confidential!

Infinity versus nothing
by Fisherman insome people like to believe in something others believe in nothing; so in what location did the substance that expanded into the time/space universe exist before the big bang?
where did the energy that caused the big band come from?
how did the substance that became the big bang change from being inert and sterile and come to life to having the properties and drive that it does?

"Some people like to believe in something, others believe in nothing."
A straightforward choice for most people: God & eternal life, or Darwinism & eternal death after 70 years or so.
Both demand an acceptance that something/s always existed.
